CSA: Volunteer Service Learning -- Dominican Republic
- Dominican Republic
About Program
CSA has volunteer service learning trips tailored to the interests of your group, this gives you the opportunity to work directly with the local people in a Dominican community. As part of a one or two week trip to the DR, you will work together with your group in a hands-on service project which is designed to use your skills and abilities to address a specific need in the local community. Some of the many CSA projects are the installation of water filters, working toward educating disadvantaged children, construction of baseball fields, building of bathrooms, etc.
As a volunteer with CSA, you can experience life in the rural farming community Cerrito, work with the mountain communities of Quintina and Sonador, or support the sugar cane batey of Lecheria. And one of the strongest aspects of our volunteer opportunities is that you are taking part in an ongoing sustainable project, CSA works on these projects with groups and keeps them going year round.
