Experience Ghana with our wonderful in-country team, based in Accra. In Ghana, you can be assured of safe, quality volunteer experience with international volunteers from around the globe.

As a non-profit organisation, we provide affordable, trusted and safe volunteer projects, which include orientation, accommodation, meals, 24/7 in-country support, and airport pickup. Stay in a safe volunteer house and make new friends with like-minded travellers.

Popular Programs

teaching sports in Ghana with IVI

Take your love of sports or coaching and give back to local youths in Ghana! Teach them the basic rules, strategies and everything else to do with your chosen sport. The kids here love anything energetic and competitive and you can be of great inspiration to them, as well as providing valuable knowledge and advice. Assist with training sessions, organise matches with other clubs, and teach with a variety of skill levels.

Teaching

Teach eager to learn students and help improve their education, as a teacher in Ghana! You can teach subjects like Math, English, History and Science, at schools in Accra. You will also be encouraged to take part in other activities such as art and design, drama, music, sports or the production of a school newspaper.

Work alongside local workers on construction, repairs and renovation projects. You could be building a home, community centre, school or anything else that’s needed at the time. Help make a lasting difference and be rewarded with your efforts at the end of your project! No experience required, although skilled workers always welcome!

Medical Hospital Internship Ghana

Provide well needed support and assistance to medical staff in local hospitals and clinics in rural parts of Ghana. Medical care is actually quite good in the major cities such as Accra, but in rural parts there is a major shortage of qualified medical professionals. You'll assist medical staff as they deliver essential treatment to patients.
