Volunteer Supporting Students' Health and Nutrition Program
- Guatemala
- Guatemala City
About Program
For as little as $4 a day for the first six months and completely free thereafter you can volunteer with children and youth in Guatemala. Our volunteers are an integral part of our program; a key element included in our planning. Without volunteers, we're not complete.
Our volunteers are experienced health workers who dedicate time to educating and nurturing our students. They are responsible, kind people who, through their care and nurturing, help develop these young people whilst having the adventure of a lifetime.
Working 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, our health volunteers support us in our onsite clinic in various roles including: Nutritionist, Psychologist, Mental Health Worker, Public Health Worker, Social Worker, Nurse Practitioner or as an Assistant in our Family Nurturing Program. They are an integral part of the team, offering specialist skills, allowing us to offer more support to the students and families in our education program.

Program Impact
These health roles are very important. You'll be working with a resilient population that has experienced traumas and therefore will be working with sensitive subjects. Our volunteers will be able to support the students in the way they think, feel and act, how they handle stress, how they feed their bodies, how they relate to others and how they make healthier choices in life. The work you do with them will support them today and throughout their future as they navigate adulthood and beyond.
