Iceland Trailteam Volunteers
Iceland Trailteam Volunteers
- Iceland
About Program
Our teams are primarily involved in the construction and maintenance of trails in Thórsmörk and Goðaland, a popular hiking area in southern Iceland.
This project combines practical conservation experience and skills development with the opportunity to explore this amazing part of Iceland and play an important role in helping to protect it. In addition to the trail work, our teams are involved in a variety of nature conservation tasks, such as land restoration and wilderness management projects.
We are looking for participants with some experience of hiking and camping. Conditions are basic; participants bring their own tents and live together at our volunteer camps, where the domestic tasks are shared.
Volunteers must be 20+ years of age. Participants are selected from applications; there is no participation fee.
