About Program

The project consists in developing an online news channel upholding news from and of the communities which are non biased, non sensational and portray the real scenario of communities in Kolkata.
The purpose is making visible the positive stories of daily life as well as their problems and issues, but without any exaggeration. It is a platform of grassroot journalism, gleaning news that largely remain unrepresented in the popular news media.
The community youth will act Community Youth News Journalist.

  • Developing a marketing strategy and designning promotional materials
  • The project will cover the work of the youth group in the community, the highlight stories of the youth and adults of the community and neighborhood, the problems and pressing issues affecting their daily lives

-To sensitize children and youth about the rights that they are entitled to, particularly right to information and right to participation
-To bridge the gap between mainstream news and community news
