About Program
The Volunteer Program is a month-long, immersive experience designed for healthcare-minded volunteers, including: nurses, pre-medical students, pharmacists, and more! Working with local healthcare professionals, teams of medical volunteers provide outpatient healthcare services for non-crisis, acute conditions throughout the region, including HIV and malaria testing. Volunteers are expected to provide adequate assessment and treatment for common health issues. Mobile clinics circulate between 12 villages, visiting one village per day over a three-week period. To provide a complete volunteer experience, the Volunteer Program includes a safari in the Maasai Mara, and Nairobi City Tour.
