About Program
So They Can is an international not for profit organisation empowering communities living in poverty in Kenya and Tanzania via education.
So They Can supports a primary school in Nakuru, Kenya. Aberdare Ranges Primary School was established in 2009 to enable the poorest children in the area to attend school. Children from the So They Can supported children's village, Miti Mingi, many of whom are orphans, also attend the school. The current roll including the Early Childhood department is 950.
We are looking for a qualified, enthusiastic and compassionate special needs educator to assess and manage the educational needs of children whom have been identified within the school in need of special assistance. The length of the volunteer placement would ideally be 3 months.
