Volunteers will be involved in a variety of teaching activities with refugee and special needs children and young adults.
The refugee school caters to approximately 60 students aged between 5 and 18 years old from countries such as Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Myanmar and Nepal. Volunteers will be teaching English, Science, Maths, Physical Education and any areas of particular interest.
The special needs school caters to children and adults aged between 7 and 36 years old and seeks volunteers to nurture and educate students with cerebral palsy, autism and Down's Syndrome. We aim to enhance the life skills of the students by a range of activities including craft, music, gardening and art therapy. Volunteers will also be involved in taking the students swimming twice a week in order to increase their physical mobility.
