Join us at Kestrel Valley, a private nature reserve in the South East of the island dedicated to the preservation of rare Mauritian wildlife species. This is an extraordinary and exciting conservation project, at the forefront of some unique conservation drives. Program Impact
Monitoring the endangered turtle species
Planting coral in damaged ecosystems
Monitoring and helping to re-establish the endemic species of Mauritius who are under threat, this includes the Mauritius Kestrel who was once the most endangered bird in the world.
Helping to re-establish the indigenous forests of Mauritius that were historically cleared to make room for sugar cane fields. There is only around 5% of indigenous forest remaining on the island.
