This program is designed for volunteers studying or wanting to study as veterinarians or vet nurses/technicians. The program will be overseen by a registered vet residing in Gobabis and will encompass all aspects of wildlife veterinary care and treatment should the need arise. The care of injured or sick animals will be the responsibility of the vet volunteer as primary caretaker. It is important to note that the volunteer will also partake in the wildlife program should time allow. You will be able to engage with a diverse range of animal species, from warthogs to meerkats, cheetahs and impala while being immersed in the life of a working animal sanctuary in the heart of the Kalahari.

Like our Wildlife Conservation project; Becoming a volunteer at this project not only has benefits for the program but for you as an individual as well as you would be getting involved in the daily aspects of animal interaction and care. As you work along with trained staff you become more experience yourself so this becomes benefiting for you and at the end of it, your rehabilitated animals are released back into the wild.
