About Program

How your days look will depend on whether you choose to volunteer with orphanage care, monastery/nunnery education, or teaching English (following an English curriculum that is provided).

Shifts:
- Orphanage care volunteering hours are 7 am - 9:30 am and 4:30 pm - 7 pm. The days are normally 5 days per week with Saturdays free.
- Monastery/Nunnery Education volunteers' typical hours are 7 am - 2 pm with Saturdays free.
- Teaching English at the local school is 10 am - 4 pm with Saturdays free.

Volunteering times are flexible to match our guest's ambitions and travel plans. We do want you to get the most out of your experience with us and your time in Nepal.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
