Volunteer English Teaching program in Nepal

The Himalayan Foundation offers English Teaching Volunteer programs across Nepal. It is an enriching and satisfying experience where volunteers get the opportunity to teach students who are eager to improve their conversational English skills. Students born into the current Nepali school-going generation value their education and are motivated to be taught new things about the world. Volunteers work either in Nepali public or private schools, in either a regional or urban setting. Our schools are scattered across Nepal, in areas such as Kathmandu, Kathmandu Valley, Chitwan, Pokhora, Hetauda and Nawlprasi. They may also be asked to assist in other school activities such as sports and other extra-curricular projects whilst volunteering. Private schools offer the opportunity to teach other subjects other than English, however due to the language barrier, this option cannot be made available in public schools.
