About Program
Nepal continues to experience significant inequities in access to pediatric oncology care, Each year, hundreds of children diagnosed with cancer must travel long distances to Kathmandu— the country’s primary public pediatric referral facility. While medical treatment is partially subsidized, non-medical costs such as accommodation, nutrition, hygiene, and caregiving support remain largely unmet. Families facing extreme financial hardship are frequently forced to sleep in hospital corridors or outdoor spaces, exposing immunocompromised children to heightened infection risks, insecurity, and severe psychological stress. In response to this critical gap, Warming Hearts Nepal—working in formal collaboration with Government Hospital established Cancer Center providing Safe, clean, and infection-controlled accommodation
