About Program

Nepal is undoubtedly one of the most intriguing destinations in the world – with its combination of mystical Buddhist origins, and peaceful and spiritual indigenous populations, it attracts those who wish to visit a less developed country where much of the ancient religious and cultural heritage has been sustained.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.

Video and Photos

Frontier has a great range of volunteer and adventure travel projects in Nepal. Some of our most popular Nepal projects include:

  • Nepal Journalism & Photography Internship - Your exciting placement on your newspaper internship will challenge you and equip you with the skills needed for a job in the media sector.
  • Nepal Teaching & Temples - Unlock the secrets of Buddhism whilst helping to teach children or young monks. Immerse yourself in the mystical and enchanting culture and discover the adventures hidden in Nepal's countryside.
  • Nepal Children's Hospital Medical Project - Work at a health centre that offers a complete medical and healthcare service to a local community who would ordinarily find access to healthcare services both challenging and expensive.

To apply for any of our projects, just click on the orange “Apply Now” button on the Frontier website and fill in the short application form. One of our volunteer advisors will then give you a call back to answer any questions that you have.
