About Program
New Zealand is incredibly rich in nature and diverse natural beauty, however, like so many other locations, humans have had an adverse impact on the environment and actions must now be taken to reverse and preserve these important attributes.
Volunteers are needed to work in regional parks, private reserves, wetland areas, ocean coastlines and inner city parks to re-introduce native plant species and clear away unwanted foliage, maintain nature trails and may even be involved in the odd whale rescue!
Based in either uber-cool Wellington, Auckland's 'City of Sails' or the rugged West Coast of the South Island; this program places volunteers directly into nature in all it's glory and offers the opportunity to experience the incredible scenery this country has to offer.
Accommodation is provided on or near the project site in a variety of housing including tents, caravans, hostels or volunteer houses. In all cases volunteer are provided with 3 delicious meals per day.
