Connection: Meet like-minded students from around the U.S. and Latin America who want to be young leaders for themselves, their communities, and the world. While borders may be closed, you can still meet other students committed to serving their communities during this pandemic. Built on AMIGOS values of intercultural awareness and inclusivity, diverse cohorts allow space for creative solutions, critical thinking, and language practice!
Collaboration: Intercultural communication is a key piece of the project management and leadership skills you’ll develop. The Community Impact Project consists of self-guided activities, one-on-one discussions with your mentor, small group projects, and live group discussions. Learn from others to expand and build on your project design skills.
Service: You don’t have to travel abroad to be a global citizen! You can make an impact on the world around you from your living room while earning service hours! Design and implement a service project shaped specifically for your community’s needs during the pandemic. Learn what makes service ethical and sustainable, applying these concepts to the project you create.
