About Program
Marine Conservation Philippines is a registered non-profit NGO dedicated to protecting endangered marine ecosystems, including coral reefs and mangroves. We are a working, science-led conservation organization—not a tourism business—so volunteering with us is hands-on, purposeful, and impactful.
As a volunteer, you will contribute directly to real conservation outcomes. Days start early and are full: you will typically complete two scientific dives per day, six days a week, supporting reef monitoring, data collection, and environmental assessments. Beyond diving, you may assist with mangrove work, community outreach, and other field-based conservation activities.
This is an immersive experience designed for those who want to learn, contribute, and develop practical skills in marine conservation. You’ll gain exposure to real-world research methods while working alongside a dedicated team in a dynamic coastal environment. And probably make life long friends too!

Program Impact
We focus on meaningful, measurable impact—not voluntourism. Our programs are designed to build in-country expertise, generate usable scientific data, and support local partners in managing marine ecosystems. Volunteers contribute to real conservation work that informs decisions, rather than short-term or symbolic activities.
We build long-term, locally led marine conservation capacity. By training government agencies, local stakeholders, and conservation practitioners in scientific reef monitoring, we help improve the management and effectiveness of Marine Protected Areas. Volunteers directly contribute to data collection, ecosystem assessments, and community initiatives that support sustainable coastal resource management.
