About Program
Each year, over 130,000 seals, whales and dolphins are killed by trash in the oceans. Over 600,000 tons of trash is floating in our oceans or on the sea beds. Volunteers on this program dive every day to remove trash from the reef and ocean. To date, over 3000kg of trash has been removed.
Join a team of passionate eco-divers, who dive every day to clean up the ocean near Lisbon. Your dives will vary from 10 - 20 meters in depth, and last from 20 - 50 minutes in length. Volunteers help to remove fishing gear, tyres, plastics and general household trash. This is then separated, recorded and disposed of sustainably.
Volunteers live together in volunteer accommodation in Lisbon. In your free time, you can enjoy the beaches, city life or travel further afield to see some of Portugal's ancient history.
