About Program

If you have a passion for teaching kids, then this placement is for you! Based in the townships of Port Elizabeth, you can choose from teaching either primary or secondary kids. They love their volunteer teachers and you will gain invaluable experience specially if you are contemplating a career in teaching.
Placements are 5 to 12 weeks, with different start dates every year. This is a very sociable placement where you will be sharing the Volunteer House with up to 40 other volunteers from all around the world so expect to have some fun in the evenings and weekends. 5-a-side football every Wednesday evening and meals and drinks out during the week. You can also combine teaching with sports coaching or just have a taster day at sports coaching or orphanage work.
This placement can be combined with Rugby Coaching/HIV/AIDS education in Swaziland, Marine Conservation in Mozambique or Wilderness Training/Experiences in South Africa!
