About Program
Our Working Holiday support starts every month with a 4-week orientation in Daegu. We help you with all the necessary formalities and introduce you to working and living in South Korea. You can join social activities and meet other international Working Holiday participants.
In Daegu, we offer affordable shared accommodation for participants. We also help you find accommodation elsewhere in South Korea. Our English-speaking team is available to support you before you arrive in South Korea and throughout your Working Holiday, with any assistance you may need. We recommend joining our Korean language lessons during your orientation in Daegu. You can also book guaranteed hospitality or childcare jobs in Seoul, Busan, or Daegu.
Language lessons in Daegu can also be booked as a standalone program, with or without accommodation, starting from just one week.
Additionally, we arrange cooking lessons and unpaid restaurant internships for anyone interested in learning about Korean cuisine.

Start your South Korea Working Holiday with a 4-week orientation in Daegu alongside international participants. World Unite! assists with administrative tasks, working in Korea and cultural orientation, followed by support for up to one year. Guaranteed hospitality and childcare jobs can be arranged in Seoul, Busan or Daegu. Korean lessons and World Unite! shared accommodation in Daegu can also be added.
Description:
Learn Korean at a modern language school in central Daegu, within walking distance of World Unite!’s participant apartments. Small-group courses focus on conversation while also developing reading and writing skills. Choose two or four 90-minute lessons per week from beginner to upper-intermediate level. Daily Korean-English language exchanges are available at no extra cost.
The full 12-week program combines 4 weeks in Daegu, where you take cooking and language lessons, with 8 weeks as an intern at a Korean restaurant in Seoul, Daegu or Busan. The first 4 weeks prepare you for the internship that follows.
You can also book cooking lessons only, starting from one week, with or without language lessons.
Combine your Working Holiday experience in South Korea with World Unite!’s established Working Holiday program in Japan. Experience two different East Asian cultures while receiving World Unite! support in both countries. In Japan, participants receive local support through our Tokyo and Kyoto offices, job assistance and access to affordable World Unite! sharehouses. Pre-arranged guaranteed jobs are also available.
