About Program
Saint Mary of Montserrat Abbey in Catalonia-Spain was founded in the 11th century. It is pilgrimage site welcoming unique guests from around the world. In addition to the breathtaking views and architecture of The Basilica, pilgrims are drawn to the miraculous statue of The Black Virgin and the world famous Escolania – the boys’ choir of Montserrat which sings at services daily.
The volunteers at Montserrat work on a variety of tasks. These tasks are completed with the staff of the choir school as dorm supervisors, recreation coordinators and English language tutors for the choirboys.
