Care and support project for HIV/AIDS infected people

RWEYOWA-Uganda is looking for international volunteer s to join our outreach team. This program (community outreach) is centered on caring and supporting those infected/affected with HIV/AIDS in our local area. We visit clients at their homes as many of them are in rural areas or might not be mobile. We usually bring food provisions or other small items we have available (depending on what has been donated) and take the opportunity to get status updates, offer counseling and adherence to those on treatment, and find out what their needs are and if they are being met. It's sort of a home-based care program.

It basically benefits the disadvantaged and underprivileged people affected/infected with HIV/AIDS within our community.

The volunteer will be working together with the community outreach team.
