Price Details
Accommodation and meals are with host families. However, we also request the volunteers to contribute a one project development fund fee of 700 USD towards the education of the needy children, by paying tuition fees, scholastic materials, medicines, lunch, and uniform. In that respect we can be able to run the program.

About Program

Make a positive impact on the lives of the local Ugandans through this volunteer abroad program provided by The Mmanze Centre for Rural Development & Training (MACERUDET). The organization is a community-based, non-profit entity located in the communities of the Masulita sub-county, Mmanze. Its programs are mainly geared towards developing as well as managing self-help communities involved in welfare and social work.

The organization does not have established paid staff, their programs and activities are implemented by utilizing the services of volunteers from both the local and international community.

The main activities of MACERUDET are:

- Sustainable agriculture and income generation
- Community based health care
- Training and education
- Environmental protection
- Promoting culture and rights of youth, women and children
- Functional adult literacy
- Infrastructure development
- Rural savings and credit scheme
- Community capacity building
