About Program

America Solidaria seeks Fellows who are interested in implementing effective projects that help alleviate inequality and poverty. These projects are primarily focused on health, education, and economic development to benefit children and youth.

The Fellowship is a service-year program and includes an out-of-country orientation that provides cross-cultural, technical, health, and safety skills training. During the twelve months of in-country service, Fellows live with other fellows from participating countries in the communities they serve, ranging from small rural villages to large urban centers.

Applications for our Fellowship Program in Latin America and the Caribbean will reopen October, 2015.

Yes, I recommend this program

Excellent organization and cause

America Solidaria provides an amazing experience and environment for its staff (i.e., professional fellows, staff, interns, etc). During my tenure at AS I was fortunate enough to have a strong leader/team who genuinely care about the cause and its staff. I was provided with guidance, resources, leadership, and professional growth to ensure growth (both personally and professionally). The organization has done a great job in-house, but more importantly throughout the Americas by promoting solidarity as a key tool in reducing poverty and inequality.

What would you improve about this program?
Nothing in life is perfect. Nevertheless, the organization does an amazing job to consistently better grow and develop. And, that alone, can not be said about many other organizations.
