About Program

Combine training, teamwork, and real community work across continents. A program for young people ready to commit, learn, and grow.

This 10-month program by Humana Volunteers includes 3 months of practical training in Denmark, 6 months of volunteering in a local project in Africa or India, and 1 month of evaluation and reflection.

What to expect:

- Training in Denmark: Learn about global development, teamwork, and sustainable practices in an international school environment.

- Fieldwork in Africa or India: Join projects in education, health, or sustainability alongside local partners in countries like Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Guinea-Bissau, DR Congo, or India.

- Final month: Return to Denmark for reflection, learning exchange, and awareness-raising activities.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
