These programs take place in two stages from September to May, enabling students to become fluent in French or Spanish and gain valuable internship experience, while acquiring cross-cultural skills and increased self confidence and independence.
Part I - Exploration & Adaptation (September - December)
During the fall, participants take intensive language instruction in French or Spanish, and become familiar with contemporary European society, through work in and out of the classroom including discussions, workshops, site-visits and independent research.
Part II - Internship & Integration (January-May)
During the Spring, participants join a local non-profit, school, or business for an internship. Before and throughout the internship, students continue to explore their understanding of European society in the classroom and through intercultural workshops.
