Culturally Immersive Gap Year Semester in Panama

Video and Photos

About

Spend three months immersed in the local culture of Bocas del Toro, Panama! Volunteers will have the opportunity to volunteer with Give & Surf's educational programs and extracurricular activities, learn Spanish, become SCUBA certified, get TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certified, and enjoy everything that the Bocas islands have to offer! This is the perfect experience for recent graduates or college students who are taking a semester or year off and want to have a meaningful, life changing experience abroad. Volunteers can pick the educational programs they assist with based on their interests and skills. Participants will have a balance between structured activities (volunteer time, Spanish classes, TEFL, and planned excursions) with free time to explore the beautiful Bocas islands and enjoy surfing, snorkeling, spearfishing, hiking, beach trips & more! Many of our gap year students have also received academic credit for their time!
