Biodiversity Explorer

This programme is a fantastic way to explore the region and learn about biodiversity, tracking and monitoring. The reserve has had minimal human impact and completely wild, so it provides a great opportunity for close, unique interactions with the wildlife - we were the only ones there apart from local rangers and reserve managers. Vaughan is great fun and hugely knowledgeable and it's great to know that we were really contributing to gathering data about the area. Facilities and food were extremely good.

Vaughan's style of instructing is totally molded to the needs of his students, and he's personally invested in the results. I spent a number of weeks under his instruction and always found him to be approachable and eager to discuss the course content (or anything about the African bush). He prides himself on seeing his students leave his course with a comprehensive knowledge of the wild, and I am eager for the chance to learn more from him in the future.

Every day was filled to the brim with excitement and exploring, unless we were absolutely exhausted, which could happen given the heat and how much we walked. It was all completely worth the effort. There's nothing like learning in person and hands on with the wilderness.

Joining Goliath training was one of the most unforgettable exciting adventures I have ever had. The housing was comfortable and well ventelated for the return on hot days , food absolutely fantastic and the people beyond plesant to be apart of. I have learned so much in the time I spent there and found new intrest in bugs and rocks. Absolutely love Goliath Training and I would for sure recomend them to any bush lover or guide wanting to sharpen their skills , or just to get out the house and get going in nature.

I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Biodiversity Research Program in Venetia, South Africa, and it was truly life-changing! The program offered a unique blend of hands-on research experience, expert guidance, and unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Our guides, Vaughan and Sophie, were exceptional - not only were they highly knowledgeable and professional, but they also made learning an absolute blast! Under their guidance, I had the thrill of conducting my own research project on dung beetles (my absolute favorite!), while also exploring the fascinating world of insects, arachnids, and mammals.

The program's attention to detail extended beyond the research itself, with delicious food and comfortable accommodations that made our stay feel like a true safari adventure. And, as a bonus, the air-conditioned facilities were a welcome respite from the African sun!

What struck me most about this program was its ability to balance fun and learning. From tracking animal footprints to witnessing incredible wildlife up close, every moment was a valuable learning experience. If you're passionate about wildlife, research, and adventure, this program is an absolute must!
