Composites Technology/ IYRS review from a young perspective

After graduating high school in 2022, like many others I struggled to figure out my plan for the next few years. I was not mentally prepared to take on a four year school, so I enrolled myself at CCRI. Post-covid, CCRI seemed to have switched the majority of their classes to online platforms, which I struggled to stay focused with and eventually withdrew myself from. After working full time for a few months in a kitchen, I was recommended to check out what IYRS has to offer, and discovered their handful of specialized marine trade programs. Composites Technology sparked my interest, so I signed myself up for the next semester. I highly recommend to anyone fresh out of high school, struggling to figure out their next steps, check out what IYRS has to offer, you might find something that fits your plan perfectly.

Great experience!

After attempting undergrad, I found myself looking for something more interesting to me, an industry that I was passionate about. IYRS not only gave me the intellectual skills that I needed, but also the hands on skills that are sought after in the marine industry. I took two of IYRS's four programs, and it prepared me for a career in multiple fields and led me to a fulfilling career in marine electronics where I have had the opportunity to travel, continue my education, and look forward to going to work everyday.
