- United States of America
About Program
Do things that go fast - like high end sports cars, snowboards, racing bikes, America's Cup yachts, and SpaceX rockets - intrigue you? Have you ever wondered how these powerhouses of speed and strength are made?
In our 9-month, STEM focused Composites Technology program at our campus on the edge of Newport Harbor in exciting Newport, Rhode Island, you'll learn to design and build with advanced materials like carbon fiber and fiberglass, materials that are used to manufacture some of the most exciting products in the world. You'll explore 3-D modeling and learn how to hand build projects using these advanced materials. The program culminates in your own capstone project - a chance to build something truly amazing that speaks to what you love. Recent capstones include surfboards, lacrosse sticks, and model boats. What will YOU build?
