3D Modeling & Modern Fabrication - Learn to Design & Build

Have you used a 3D printer or laser cutter and wanted to learn and do more? This is the hands-on, STEM focused program that will provide just that, taught by skilled and passionate faculty.

The 9-month Digital Modeling & Fabrication program begins with an exploration of design thinking concepts, hand sketching, and simple prototyping on hand tools and machines after learning proper technique and safety. As you progress, you will learn popular 3D modeling software including Rhino 3D and Fusion360. You'll fabricate your classroom projects and your own designs using exciting technology like 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC mills, lathes, and routers and will work with a variety of materials including plastics, advanced SLA resins, thermoforming plastic, metal, composites, and wood, while gaining exposure to microprocessing. The program culminates in a capstone project of your own design that speaks to your personal interests and passions!
