About Program
At the Gap Semester in Environmental Leadership you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a master class in environmental science, environmental communication, environmental action, and leadership training. Held on the amazing island of Hawaiʻi, you will join other like-minded young people on a 70-day adventure like no other. Learn to understand environmental science and how to effectively communicate what you learn to influence others and enact change. Explore the many different ecosystems of Hawaiʻi Island - from coral reefs to volcanic peaks and the subalpine, forest, and coastal ecosystems between.
