About Program

Travel to South America where you explore the mountainous region of Quito, the rainforest in the Amazon Basin, and the mysterious Galápagos Islands! Balance and walk along the real equator line, travel to one of the world’s highest volcanoes and Ecuador’s second highest peak, the Cotopaxi, raft down the Napo River in the Amazon of Ecuador, and volunteer at a nearby yellow-spotted turtle habitat protection center. Do all this before flying to the Galápagos where you will get up close and personal with the Galapagos’ famous Giant Tortoises, navigate through ancient lava tunnels, kayak with playful sea lions, snorkel amongst vibrant schools of fish, volunteer at a local elementary school, surf the perfect whitewater, observe the blue-footed boobies in their local habitat and more on this life-changing three week adventure!

Yes, I recommend this program

Best trip yet!

This was my fourth trip with Wilderness Adventures and they keep getting better! This trip was the perfect mix of service, adventure, and language. The diversity of the location, from Ecuador to the Galápagos to the diversity just in continental Ecuador, allowed for a variety of different activities and constantly changing surroundings. The animal and plant diversity was incredible, and overall Ecuador and the Galápagos proved to be an incredibly unique place to visit. Wilderness Adventures' leaders never fail to be amazing people who you can learn so much from and perfect facilitators of the group dynamic. The small size allows for close bonds and lifelong friendships. All four of my trips have been some of the best experiences of my life and absolutely worth it. I would highly recommend this or any other Wilderness Adventures trip!
