About Program

Study and attend high school in French or German speaking Switzerland. YFU students are enrolled in a Gymnasium/collège, which is a high school for university bound students, which will look great on any college applicaiton! Regardless of the language specific area you choose, you'll have a chance to develop your language skills as you take classes and interact with your host family. Your Swiss family will help you adjust and give you the opportunity to practice your language outside the classroom. As you explore the mountains, lakes and cities of Switzerland, you'll gain an appreciation for the Swiss way of life. Whether you spend your time exploring mountain slopes or city streets, Switzerland will be a place to remember.

Please note there is a two year language requirement for our French-speaking Switzerland program. Please visit the YFU website for details and optional language training available in Switzerland.

This program is currently not being promoted on Go Overseas by its provider. Check with Youth For Understanding (YFU) for the most up-to-date information regarding the status of this program.
