About Program
Team members will have the opportunity to experience life on a picturesque island while working together with the local community to protect the Natura 2000 area of the island and promote sustainable practices in agriculture and tourism by working in law and policy research programmes.
Environmental Policy and Law
Our policy and law team will do comparative research of legal and policy provisions and practices in countries around the world regarding environmental issues (protected areas, renewable energy, endangered species etc).
Activities include:
Researching and creating a comparative report on International, regional and local legal provisions and practices regarding the protected areas (Natura 2000).
Researching and creating a comparative report on International, regional and local legal provisions and practices regarding renewable energy sources (solar, wind, energy communities etc)

Program Impact
Requirements:
-Graduate or at least 2 years of academic experience in political science, law, economics or related sciences
-Fluency of English language (knowledge of Greek will be highly appreciated but is not necessary)
-Good computer skills
-Strong organisational skills
-Strong desire to help Apano Meria’s conservation efforts
-Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
