Annakshetra is an organization working to reduce food waste by working to eradicate hunger in India. This internship offers the perfect intersection of interests surrounding hunger and environmental advocacy. Quite simply, anyone can call Annakshetra to have their leftover food collected, and Annakshetra then distributes this food amongst the many slums in Rajasthan, India. To this date, Annakshetra has served 3,676,100 meals and greatly reduced India's carbon footprint. As an intern, your responsibilities could include managing the social media of Annakshetra, working on fundraising, helping with food collection and distribution, and conducting field research on hunger and waste in Jaipur.
