Become a Marine Research Assistant with Blue Marlin Conservation.

Our 4-week Marine Research Assistant Internship offers advanced training, unlimited diving, and the chance to contribute directly to long-term reef conservation. Over the course of 32+ dives, you’ll complete seven Conservation Diver certifications and take part in 11 interactive lectures. Training begins with reef monitoring, coral restoration, and species ecology, before advancing into coral taxonomy, predator tracking, coral disease surveys, and plastic pollution assessments.

Beyond the water, interns gain experience in data analysis, community outreach, guest education, and optional scientific writing for publication. With opportunities to lead projects and mentor others, this program is ideal for students, early-career conservationists, or dive professionals seeking meaningful experience in scientific diving and marine research.
