Being a non-profit organisation, we try to keep our costs down to ensure our programs are accessible but whilst also being able to operate effectively and move forward making lasting impact. Internship costs will depend on the length of your programme. The longer you stay with us, the lower your weekly contribution becomes as a discount is implemented each week.

A 30% deposit is required to secure a place.

The financial contribution you make as a volunteer intern helps funds our community projects, it funds our impact. For every volunteer intern that joins our program, we also plant a tree with local families.

About Program

EcoSwell is a multiple award winning non-profit located in Lobitos, a surfing paradise. The organization focuses on helping vulnerable communities in Peru develop sustainably by carrying out infrastructure projects, socio-environmental and educational initiatives.

As a Research Volunteer Intern, you will be given ownership of research initiatives. The daily activities could be:
- (SDG) Impact Research: Quantifying the impact of EcoSwell's projects on the community
- Groundwater research: This study conducted alongside UK universities aims to investigate the extent and quality of groundwater resources in the region
- Public Health: Conduct research associated with our public health awareness initiatives
-Business Plans/Models: Get involved in developing a business plan/model for bird watching ecotourism in the equatorial dry forest
- Your own research: Dissertations (Bachelors, Masters, PhD): Create an appropriate research methodology for your own academic research
