Marine Conservation Internship - Ocean Alliance Project
About Program
The conservation diver course offers the experience of assisting on active field research and restoration initiatives, as well as the opportunity to increase ones scuba diving certifications, a critical step in getting further job opportunities in marine research. We offer a range of internship opportunities ranging from 1 week to 8 weeks.
These internships are geared towards scuba diving enthusiasts, aspiring marine biologists, and gap year students, as they would have the opportunity to achieve rescue diver and divemaster certifications, the first steps into professional diving, and critical certifications for job opportunities in marine research. If the intern were to select the 8 week internship they would additionally get the experience of designing their own sampling/experimental design, and collecting the corresponding data.
