About Program

Impact Network offers an opportunity for a solution-oriented and adventurous individual with a background in international development, education and/or technology to spend 3-month internship in Zambia. The organization has completed the school pilot project in 10 schools in rural Zambia and thus, opens for a Program Implementation Intern to travel to the country for 3 months, starting in early October to help smooth out the processes and provide support to the team.

The qualified intern serves as a liaison between the executive team and on-the-ground operations in Zambia. The tasks include day-to-day observational reports emailed to our executive team, identifying of problem areas and contributing to brainstorming of solutions, working with Zambian teacher supervisors, among others.

Three Months in Zambia

This was an amazing experience. I spent a lot of time smoothing out the roll out of new e-learning equipment and collaborating with the local team. I was in the first group of interns so it was definitely a learning experience.

What would you improve about this program?
It's not for everyone. If you NEED running water to take a shower, this is not for you. If you can't live without pizza, you might be disappointed. If you like sitting behind a desk and hate travel, this is NOT the position for you.
