What is your favorite travel memory?

That’s a tough question, I don’t think I could choose only one. I would say one of my favorite travel memories is from India — I went to New Delhi, the Taj Mahal in Agra, and Jaipur, the pink city. I absolutely loved everything about India and how the culture felt so alive. One of my favorite things from the trip was having dinner and a cooking class in the home of a local Indian family.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I would say I have changed in that I now am more comfortable communicating in Spanish on a more formal level in the work place - I had never worked in Spanish before, and now having to communicate with local companies and partners in Spanish through emails, phone calls and meetings, I have greatly improved my confidence in speaking Spanish in this context.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

One of the students I met studied here one summer with her school, and chose to come back the following summer on her own to continue studying Spanish - she loved the program and activities so much that she wanted to spend her next summer doing the same thing! I think this says a lot about the programs we offer that she would want to come back!

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

If I could go on any program, I would probably choose a more specific tour, such as the Gastronomy Tour, and I would be interested in exploring the gastronomy of not only Valencia but also other regions of Spain. I think this type of trip would be fun and insightful, to be able to visit cities in a way different from how I would normally, and see another part of the culture besides the main sites and activities.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

I believe Euroace is unique in that the company is actually based in Valencia - many major corporations may offer something similar (study abroad, intern, or gap year programs) but they are not based in the city they offer the programs in—meaning they work with a local company to manage everything. Euroace is made up of a team who are in constant contact with not only each and every company interns work with, but also host families, student accommodation staff and anyone involved in cultural activities. We will go above and beyond to give the best experience to students.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

I believe the most important factor in a successful company is being true to what you promote - in this case, delivering excellent programs to students to meet (or exceed) their expectations! Euroace has been around for over 12 years and is full of success stories of students who have joined various programs and had life-changing experiences They gain career experience, improve their language skills, and make friends with people from other countries and cultures totally different from their own. They leave wanting to come back!
