What is your favorite travel memory?
My favorite travel memory was completing a teacher development course in Florence. I met inspiring colleagues from different countries, shared ideas, enjoyed training activities, and immersed myself in the city’s rich culture and history. I cannot help but mention the Italian cuisine which was impressive., and we still keep in touch with colleagues from Italy and Sweden.
How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?
Since joining Learn Russian in the EU nearly 15 years ago, I have grown both professionally and personally. I have gained extensive experience teaching Russian to foreign students, become more adaptable and confident with learners from diverse backgrounds, improved my organizational and communication skills, and learned to manage programs efficiently. Working with colleagues has strengthened my teamwork and broadened my perspective on education.
What is the best story you've heard from a return student?
One of the most memorable stories I’ve heard from a return student was about a learner who came back after a semester abroad, full of excitement. They shared how the language skills they gained had helped them make lifelong friends, navigate a new city with confidence, and even assist a local community project—showing how language learning can truly transform experiences and open unexpected opportunities.
If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?
If I could join any program offered by our company, I would choose the Russian Language and Culture program. Combining language learning with cultural and historical context would allow me to deepen my understanding of Russia’s rich heritage while enhancing my teaching skills, giving me fresh insights and practical experiences to bring back to my students.
What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?
What makes Learn Russian in the EU unique is our ability to combine high-quality language instruction with deep cultural and historical insights, creating immersive and meaningful learning experiences for students from all over the world. I have been especially proud of our team during international teacher development courses and collaborative programs, when colleagues from different countries came together to share expertise.
