What position do you hold at KCIP? What has been your career path so far?

I hold the position of Toddler Class Assistant which is 2 years—3 years. I was an assistant at Kampala Diplomatic School where I learned many activities and how to handle children. I have been working with children since 2012.

What do you most enjoy about your role?

I enjoy working with young children because my role is to assist children in all activities they do at school.

What do you find most rewarding about working at KCIP?

I like learning more and more new things/activities and I have learnt more than I knew before which I found is an improvement for me at KCIP.

What do you think a volunteer would gain from working at KCIP?

A volunteer can gain a lot of working experience at KCIP because by observing children, what they do, he/she can learn where by its easy to ask other teachers how to handle children since at KCIP we work as a team.

What tips would you share with someone considering this program?

He/She should be active and creative. He/She should be able to work with a team in every activity that children are involved in, try to talk to children nicely and explain properly what they should do and what they shouldn’t do.
