Spanish Courses - Outdoor Ecuador Spanish and Surf School

What a wonderful experience! I knew I would learn Spanish and how to surf on this trip, but I did not expect how much more I would gain!

My sister and I went of this trip together, and from start to finish on my trip with Outdoor Ecuador, we felt welcomed and supported. Outdoor Ecuador is a family-run business, and I loved how they truly go out of their way to make you feel like you’re a part of their family too!

Ivonne is an incredible Spanish teacher who makes learning fun, engaging, and approachable. She has such a warm personality and a way of making you feel comfortable while helping you grow your confidence with the language!

We stayed at the Blue Ocean Lodge was the perfect place to stay. The stay was comfortable and clean, but our host, Elizabeth, really goes out of her way to make you feel at home. One day when I was sick, she made me homemade soup and tea, got medicine from the pharmacy, and continued to check on me to make sure I was feeling better!!

The little beach town itself was a hidden gem. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and has so much to offer, from delicious local food options to fun activities and a welcoming community. It was easy to connect with locals, and there are several English-speaking spots around that make it easy to navigate the language barrier.

All in all, I’m so grateful for the time I spent with Outdoor Ecuador and the wonderful family behind it. If you’re looking for an authentic experience where you can learn, explore, and truly feel welcomed, I couldn’t recommend them more!
