My wonderful experience at Route 66 Idiomas

I had a wonderful time at Route 66 Idiomas, it was truly an unforgettable experience. I learned an incredible amount in just a few months, the classes were very informative and well-structured.

The teachers are absolutely fantastic: friendly, funny, and always willing to help. They make learning Spanish so much more enjoyable. There's also a really cosy and welcoming atmosphere at the school, which made me feel right at home.

The location of the school is perfect, right next to the largest square in Valencia, which makes it super easy to explore the city or enjoy a nice lunch after class.

What I also really liked is that there's a new activity every week. There’s always something fun to do, and it's a great way to meet new people and make friends.

All in all, it's a fantastic language school with the kindest people. I'm incredibly grateful for my time here and would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn Spanish.

What was your funniest moment?
I had lots of funny moments during the lessons. The teachers have a great sense of humour and create a really positive atmosphere in the classroom.
Every day there was something that made the lesson special. It wasn’t just educational, but also really fun and enjoyable.

Outstanding, Committed Instructors in a Truly Supportive Environment

Learning a new language in an immersive setting is as challenging as it is exciting. As a student at Route 66, I was surrounded by people who understand this. The entire team made me feel welcome and supported, by always being available to answer any question whether school-related or about navigating Spanish culture.

What really stood out for me at Route 66 are the instructors. Most of my studies were taught by Sandra, who is so smart and such a talented teacher. She used every tool she could conjure up to make sure the class understood and had the information they needed to advance their understanding. Conversation was central to every class, and we discussed everything, from personal experiences to current events. When it came to grammar instruction, I was clearly learning from a master in Spanish language. Our classes never exceeded four people.

At Route 66, not only did my language ability advance rapidly (with limited pain) but I gained a Spanish family in the process.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Use everything you learn in class in the world beyond the classroom. Valencianos are warm and forgiving. They appreciate your efforts to speak the language and will help you. Ask questions about their city and culture. Valencia has a unique and rich history, and the best way to learn about it is from the people who are from there.
