Unforgettable experience in Eccedu

Prague is a wonderful city for study and hang out. Walking through the forest of spectacular historical buildings and then, you will encounter a glorious time in the Charlie’s University.
Lecturers are all top men and women in their fields. It was really good to hear them telling their own stories and taught us some useful knowledge. Eccedu indeed offered us great opportunities to touch those great people.
The internship is a great chance for you to explore another city in Europe, along with meeting some great people.
Prague, Krumlov, Vienna, Budapest, Ljubljana, Munich. Those memories will always stay in my mind.

What would you improve about this program?
Just hope to have more time in this program. The summer was really too short to have enough lessons and experience the whole internship.
If there are some long term programs, i will attend them.
Europe is a place needs many time to enjoy and explore.

Memories of internship life

The internship life is tense and busy, but it is full and rewarding. First of all, the professional knowledge has been expanded and deepened. The basic legal systems of EU and Czech Republic have been constantly impressed in the process of internship. At the same time, the specific legal knowledge, such as cross-border asset merger and acquisition, primary syndicated loan and so on, have also been preliminarily recognized under the leadership of colleagues. Secondly, through the understanding of the lawyer industry, I have a deeper understanding of my future life planning and career, and I firmly believe that learning is applied. Finally, the internship experience is also valuable experience and wealth in life. The beautiful Prague left me too many beautiful memories. Sometimes it may feel dark in Prague, but that's to wait for people to go home to enjoy the sunset along the way. That's to wait for the golden top of the church beside the old city square and the gilded gold of the astronomical clock to shine with each other. When the red Prague is all gilded with gold, our time, the girl's smile, the singing sound from the castle in the distance and the gold in people's hands Beer has been fixed, just waiting for the stray pigeons to return to their nests, waiting for the neon to decorate the night, waiting for the goddess of Rudolph concert hall to gaze affectionately at the Voltaire river. Life is like a metronome on the opposite side of law school. Every rhythm can't be scattered. Every drum point is a melody full of enthusiasm. And fate is the balloon that always floats on the castle spire. It takes a hundred times of hard work to find the ideal destination in the uncertain doubts.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
Take photos with every friend, shaking hands and smiling.

Awesome experience

This program is a perfect combination of learning and having fun! , I had the best experience in the summer school, a very professional team and also very interesting material to work on, I will definitely recommend this program, especially if you're looking to gain some experience in recognized offices during the internship period.
Another thing to consider that was very interesting is that in this program you will have the chance to travel to another country, which makes the experience much more valuable, and off course, networking in Prague will give you a very good chance to improve your contact from all over the world.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Budget is very low so I recommend also if your budget is tight and you will travel during the program

Wonderful experience (愉快的经历)

The teachers are friendly, the students are easy to get along with, can learn a lot of knowledge, make a lot of new friends, very happy . In the first half of the project, I mainly attended classes to learn a lot of new legal knowledge. In the second half, I mainly practiced, during which I could feel the working environment in other countries. Weekend and evening trips with friends to Vienna, dresden, Rome, in short, a great experience!

Alumni Interviews

These are in-depth Q&A sessions with verified alumni.

Why did you choose this program?

I have heard this law program when I was studying for a bachelor's degree, but at that time I was not confident of my English skills, so I just quit. Right now, I am studying for a master's degree and I have participated in VIS-MOOT, and I realized that you just can't wait for excellent English skills: what you have to do is just going aboard and you will see how you promoted.

What did your program provider (or university) assist you with, and what did you have to organize on your own?

For ECCEDU I have already formed a friendly relationship with my school, so actually most affairs were completed by the program provider and our school, such as booking tickets, finding accommodation, buying sim cards, buying monthly tickets for the city train.

Also, during this programme, the staff always organize events for students to involve the culture, make friends and enrich their spare time.

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?

That is being sincere and hard-work. Before I attended this programme, I used to be too shy to talk to foreign people for I always worry that maybe they cannot understand me or maybe they will think I am a little bit stupid. However, if you are here, you will know that there is actually no language or culture barriers, only if you can be sincere to everyone. And indeed, you will attend lots of lectures given by professional lawyers who work in leading law firms, so you need to study hard, so you will learn.

What does an average day/week look like as a participant of this program?

You will have 7 weeks in total. In the first 3 weeks you will attend schools, the remaining 4 weeks you will do internships in law firms or other corporations.

At the end of the second week, you will have a test, composed of English skills and academic knowledge, and you will choose the internship based on those grades. Besides, you can travel during the weekends; I have been to Vienna, Dresden, Rome...

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

I think that is the language.

During the programme, the lecturers speak English and all the people around speak English as well. But you have to know that people are environment-oriented animals, so don't be shy: just express what you want to express; only if you can present clearly, people indeed will get you!

What should people know about your program?

Well, I‘d like to introduce our dormitory 'cuz maybe you will stay there for 7 weeks. And it is not far from the city center. There are Tesco's nearby. And you can have a free gym and a kitchen, so you can cook with your friends!

Each room has two separate rooms, two toilets, and one bathroom. In short, the place is quite nice and convenient.
