Why choose MareTerra?

MareTerra - Environmental Research and Conservation is a non-profit organisation based in Alghero, Sardinia (Italy).

Our ongoing projects include many research activities for the conservation of local dolphin population, the use of drones in marine ecology, the study of the soundscape ecology, the effect of anthropogenic noise on the behaviour and acoustic of bottlenose dolphins and the acoustic repertoire of bottlenose dolphins in the Mediterranean Sea, thanks to the international cooperation with other organisations.

Thanks to our partnerships with tourism companies and tour operators, we are engaged to raise the awareness of schools and tourists on the importance of conservation, studying as well benefits and risk of dolphin watching based tourism.

We are committed in helping students and volunteers to pursue a career in marine science, boosting their skills with all the "tools" at our disposal. We're totally self-financed and we need people like you! Hope to see you soon!
