SUMMIT Adventure Academy

Overall was the experience just to be on that place and doing all these missions an extraordinary feeling. But the best part was the community among the whole family there. Im definetly are going back there one day!
We got the chance to build a recycle station that they could use, and it was really cool that we got to build the house from the start. it was no houseground or anything.
We traveled also to different places in Nepal that we really saw how the life in this land works. I think the most memorable moment i got from this internship was when a good friend of mine an i could just lay down not to far from the passing river and just listen to the sound of the water and on the screaming monkeys on the other side. And all the red sunsets you could get when it disapeared behind the mountains.

Without exaggeration this course was literally life changing for me as it gave me the energy to quit my profession and explore new fields.
We had a very strong team and the camaraderie between the teammates was incredible and formed life-long bonds. Teamwork and leadership skills were a constant in the program.
The course was challenging; both physically and mentally. It was planned well and set out in a way that provided for hands on training. It also allowed people of different strengths to go at their own pace and pushed people to their own level. The skills of our instructors was clearly at a top level and they were always happy to provide more practice where it was needed. There was always a big emphasis on safety. As well as developing the practical skills the course also moulded the attitude of an international mountian and river guide.

My experience from this programme is very positive. The work we did and the people I met truly gave me the experience of a lifetime. I use my learnings from the projects in my everyday work- and personal life to this very day.

This programme is, as with all the best sustainable projects/educations/operations, improving all the time by keeping up to date with what's happening in the world. The contemporary social and environmental analysis is always considered when developing this programme and its projects, making it truly sustainable in itself.

I would recommend anyone who is curious about sustainable development to participate in this programme. Personally I find it wonderful to be able to follow the projects years later and see how they continuously develop and how the work I did still provides a positive result to the bigger picture.

This experience was the best I could imagine. I learned more than I thought possible, while being supported by the best group of Nepali interns. Ram and Xenia are very intelligent and will help you every step of the way. They are easy to talk to and very informative. The raft guides, the Nepali interns, are also extremely sweet and will help and support you. They are also very keen to teach you the Nepali language! I love this camp and the people working here. Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised that your internship/volunteer experience can be adjusted to your needs. There is experience with sustainability promotion, with rafting, with running a camp and being a host, everything. This was truly the most amazing experience of my life and I highly highly recommend it! I can’t wait to come back myself!

This program was for me a real Adventure! I developed so much physical and fysical trough the three mounths in Nepal on this program. It was for sure a life changing experience! The teachers during the program was first class according to me! They took everything very seriously to learn us about the ropeworks and rafting tecniques. We spend many hours on the river and the teachers looked at every individual so that everyone could make it to the same level of experience. Now I have friends for life and an Adventure I'm never going to forget thanks to this program. I don't regret anything I did during this three mounths. If anyone is unsecure about going in this program I only have one answer for it: just do it!! If you are a beginner in the outdoors it will not be a problem because the teachers will gives you the best opportunity to learn everything you need to know!
