What if I have a dog that I would have to travel with, are there options for someone like me teaching in other countries?

Hi! Traveling & living abroad with a pet is possible, but regulations for bringing in a pet from outside will vary by country. Also, you need to consider other factors, such as the costs of transporting a pet abroad, finding housing that will accept the pet, and making sure that your pet has proper documentation and vaccinations. You should talk to your vet, and research individual countries to see what requirements they have for bringing in a pet.
The best thing you can do is click on one of the blue buttons on this page and filling out a form and/or just call International TEFL Academy at 773-634-9900 to speak with an expert advisor who can discuss your options and your particular situation in more details.
Well it depends on where you are going. If for example you go to japan it’s totally doable but you’ll have to do a lot of paper work to do so. Japan doesn’t have rabies so they will require much paper work and get shots within a certain amount of time. If you don’t you may find your pet quarantined at the airport for some time!
You also need to consider that many places may not let you have a pet. It may be difficult to find a place that will let you have one.
If you go for a year it’s probably not worth the hassle. Maybe if you intend on living long term it would be more practical.
