I know the good money to English teaching is in Asia, but are graduates able to make enough money to save some on the side or pay off student loan debt?

I know the good money to English teaching is in Asia, but are graduates able to make enough money to save some on the side or pay off student loan debt?
I have been able to live comfortably and travel with my income.
