Do I need a TEFL certificate if I have a degree in education and am currently teaching in the U.S.?

Teach Away recruits teachers for many different schools around the world, all of which have different requirements in terms of qualifications. Personally, I taught at an International school in Honduras and I do not have my TEFL certification. However, some schools do require it.
